Why So Many Families Are Choosing to Learn Quran Online
A few years ago, most people assumed Quran learning had to happen in a mosque or madrasah. That has changed. A live video lesson lets a teacher hear every word you recite and correct you straight away, which is what matters most in Quran learning. You also save travel time and can pick lesson times that fit your week.
For parents, there’s another benefit. Your child learns in a familiar, comfortable space while you stay close by. For adults, it means learning privately, at your own pace, without feeling embarrassed about being a beginner. Many of our students are grown adults who never got the chance to learn as children, and they’re often the most dedicated learners we have.
Who Knowledge Quran Are
The Knowledge Quran Centre was founded by Hafiz Ali Akbar, who has spent years teaching the Quran. He started the academy after seeing how few reliable, well-organised Quran teaching options there were for Muslim families, especially those living abroad. Today our team of Arabic- and English-speaking tutors teaches students around the world with patience, punctuality and respect for every learner’s level.
Learn Quran with Tajweed Online
Tajweed is the science of reciting every letter of the Quran from its correct point of articulation and with its proper characteristics. It isn’t an optional extra. A small mistake in pronunciation can change the meaning of a word, which is why learning the Quran with a teacher who knows Tajweed is so important.
In our online Quran classes with Tajweed, you work through the rules step by step. Your teacher starts with the basics, such as where each letter comes from in the mouth and throat (makharij) and how letters differ in heaviness and lightness. Then you move on to the rules that shape the flow of recitation, including the rules of noon sakinah and meem sakinah, madd (elongation), ghunnah, qalqalah, and where to stop and start when you recite.
The Right Place to Start for Beginners by Noorani Qaida
If you’ve ever asked yourself, “How can I learn Quran from scratch?”, the answer is Noorani Qaida. It’s a simple, step-by-step course that teaches the Arabic letters, their sounds, the vowel marks, how letters join together, and the basic reading rules. Nobody needs to know Arabic before starting.
Both small children and adult beginners do well with it, because it builds confidence before you open the Quran itself. Most of our students move from Noorani Qaida straight into reading the Quran with Tajweed, and the jump feels natural because the foundation is already there.

Quran Memorization (Hifz) with a Dedicated Teacher
Memorizing the Quran is a big commitment. It takes patience, consistency and good guidance, and it’s much easier with a teacher who keeps you on track. Our Quran memorization online course pairs you or your child with a dedicated memorization teacher who builds a plan around your schedule.
A good Hifz routine has three parts: a new lesson each day, revision of what you learned recently, and regular revision of older portions so nothing slips away. Your teacher also makes sure every verse is memorized with correct Tajweed from the start, which saves a lot of correction later. Many families living abroad tell us this is exactly what they were missing, since finding a qualified memorization teacher locally can be really difficult.
Understand What Quran Translation and Tarjuma
Parents tell us the same thing again and again: they want their children to love the Quran, not fear it. So our Quran lessons for kids are built around how children actually learn. Lessons are short and focused, teachers are patient and encouraging, and explanations stay simple. Little by little, children gain confidence in reading.
We also have female teachers for children aged 4 to 10, which many parents feel more comfortable with. On top of Quran reading, we offer a Basic Islam course that covers the five pillars, daily duas, good manners, how to make wudu and pray, and the stories of the Prophets. And because the lessons happen at home, there’s no rushing across London after school.
Quran Classes for Adults and Sisters
Plenty of adults start learning the Quran later in life, including many new Muslims and many people who simply never had the opportunity growing up. Our Quran classes for adults are private and relaxed, and we never rush you. You can start from the alphabet or work on fixing your Tajweed, whichever you need.
Sisters can study with a female Quran teacher online. Age and gender are never a barrier here. If you want to learn, this is a right place for you.

How to Choose the Best Online Quran Tutor
There are a lot of online Quran tutors out there, and they’re not all the same. Before you commit to anyone, including us, check these points:
- Is the teacher properly trained in Tajweed and qualified to teach?
- Are lessons one-to-one, so you get real corrections and attention?
- Is there a free trial, so you can try before you pay?
- Do they teach your age group and level, and can they offer a female teacher if you need one?
- Do they speak clear English as well as Arabic, so you can follow explanations easily?
- Do they turn up on time and keep to a regular schedule?
Our advice is to use the trial class to judge for yourself. A good teacher makes you feel comfortable and gives you something new to work on in the very first lesson.
